Blood Orange
or Persian Lime Brownies

Our customers love our brownie samples in the store.  They go home and impress their friends with this yummy version of brownies.  The hint of Orange (or Persian Lime) is just enough to make them really special.  You can also use Roasted Walnut Oil, Butter Olive Oil or Unflavored Olive Oil.

 

1 pkg brownie mix*

Eggs

Water

1/3 - 1/2 cup Blood Orange or Persian Lime Olive Oil

Follow the directions on the back of the box.  Substitute Blood Orange Olive Oil for the vegetable oil called for on the box.  Bake according to package directions.  

A fun serving suggestion is to top a brownie with ice cream and drizzle Raspberry Vinegar.  Yum!

*Any brownie mix will do, but the Ghirardelli mixes are the best.  Avoid using the ones that say "fudge" since they are too moist when using our oil -- unless you like to eat your brownies with a spoon!
