Easy Glazed Ham

Adding our vinegars to ham glaze gives the glaze more spunk and a little less sweetness.  I won't leave it out ever again.


3/4 cup Pineapple, Peach or Blenheim Apricot Balsamic Vinegar

1/4 cup pineapple, peach or apricot preserves

3-4 lb. ham (figure about 1/4 to 1/3 pound

    per person)


In a smallish pot, add the balsamic vinegar and its corresponding type of preserves.


Simmer on medium heat until reduced by half, about 5 minutes.  Let cool so it will thicken even more.  Use half as a glaze during cooking and half as a drizzle afterwards. Glaze the ham 3 times while it's baking.


This sauce is also great on a ham sandwich.
